GENEALOGY – TELLING YOUR STORY THROUGH SCRAPBOOKING

SCRAPBOOKING YOUR FAMILY STORY

A useful way to tell your family stories.

These tales, by their very nature, are made up of many component parts and are usually kept separately within the house – hidden away in drawers or old shoe-boxes which need to dug out, dusted off and sorted through. The elements also need not even need to be within the same property, and might be held by different relatives, each of them not knowing what treasures the other might hold.

A good way to make sure that you tell the whole story is to use scrap-booking methods to bring all the elements together in the one place.

This article suggests ways as to how you can do this, and includes ideas for including family documents, photographs and the stories themselves which will bring the tales to life.  It gives useful tips on what to include, where to get the elements from, and how to write the stories themselves.
